INVISIBLE AI MISSILES

AI air group YDA has fired two groups of AIM-120 missiles (XFM and ?) at Blue Air Group BCA, but the missile groups remained undetected until just before they reached BCA.
(These groups are located south of Korea, near the island south-west of of the southern tip of mainland Japan).

Expected behavior: These types of missiles usually are detectable after launch by the active radar of the F-15s and/or A-737s, EP-3s, etc., but in this case (and some other cases) they remained undetected.

Similar situation in: AutoSave - Invisible AI missiles2.USNI-hp2

AI air group YEA has fired a group of 2x AIM-120 missiles (XAM) at Blue Air Group CKA, but the missile groups remained undetected until just before they reached CKA, which I had ordered
to take a course away from YEA at high speed - once YEA had come into missile range - which appears to be the only reason that CKA was able to avoid being killed (because the missiles
did not appear until they were nearly upon the CKA group, and likely would have killed CKA if it had remained at loiter when YEA aproached.
(These groups are located south of Korea, near the island south-west of of the southern tip of mainland Japan).

Again, the expected behavior would be for those AI missiles to be detected very shortly after their launch - as is the typical case.

Blue air group FCA was ordered to attack AI air group UUA. FCA fired 5x AIM-120 missiles (FWM) at UUA when the weapons allocation popup appeared.
I immediately ordered FCA to take course away from UUA at 1338 knots (to avoid return fire that I assumed would come from UUA). UUA continued towards
FCA at 533 knots despite the incoming missiles (which itself is unusual because an AI group normally reverses its course immediately when fired upon). The
three F-16s in UUA were shot down, but very shortly afterwards, previously unreported AI missiles (UGM - 3x AIM-120) appeared right next to FCA, and shot
down both F-15 Pluses - despite its "turn and burn". (This engagement was located SouthEast of Korea, between Korea and Japan).

Expected behaviors would have been for the AI missiles to have been detected much sooner, and for the F-15s to have out-run them, as per the usual case
where the AI missiles are detected at launch.

MISSILE "SPOOF"? - same saved gave, same Blue air group, as above
........................

Blue air group FCA (during the engagement above) was also engaging the one remaining F-16 in AI air group VBA, and had fired its remaining 3 AIM-120s at
that group. Oddly, none of those missiles got a hit, and in fact, as those missiles approached VBA, they seemed to take a hap-hazard course - as though
they were being "spoofed" or something. (Also see same air group in AutoSave - impervious F-16s2.USNI-hp2, below)

Expected behavior: Since VBA did not "turn and burn", I would have expected that the three blue missiles would have reached it AND that at least one of
those missiles would have hit the single F-16 (because those AIM-120A/B missiles each have an 80% hit rate).

IMPERVIOUS F-16s

AI air group XWA has attacked Blue air group CHA (2 x F-15J Plus) with 2x AIM-120 missiles (00M); CHA has returned fire with 5x AIM-120 missiles (CWM),
at which point XWA immediately changed course away from the missiles, but remains at 533 knots cruising speed. I've immediately ordered CHA to full afterburner (1338 knots)
and set its course away from the 00M missiles. Meanwhile, XWA launched a second pair of AIM-120s in response to the launch of CWM. All three missile groups have speed of 2295 knots.
In this case, the F-15s (CHA) barely managed to out-run both of the AI missile groups, as did the AI group XWA.
(These groups are located east of Korea and north of Red AD Mobile ZFm).

Expected result: Missile group CWM seemingly should have reached XWA before the AI missiles reached CHA, because the missiles were launched near-simultaneously, and had the same speed,
while group XWA was flying away at only 533 knots, and CHA was moving away at 1338 knots, or 2-1/2 times as fast. If missiles CWM did in fact reach XWA, then they must have been spoofed -
because there were no hits out of five missiles, that supposedly have an 80% hit rate.

INVINCIBLE AI AIR GROUP

After the failed engagement of the one remaining F-16 in AI air group VBA (in AutoSave - Invisible AI missiles3.USNI-hp2, above), I attempted to attack VBA
from Blue air group FHA. I ordered FHA to close and attack, and when the weapons allocation dialog offered 3x AIM-120, I executed the attack (Blue missile group FZM).
VBA immediately counter-launched its one remaining AIM-120 (Unknown missile group 00M), but continued to fly away at only its 533 knots cruise speed.
Just like in the earlier attack on VBA, the three missiles of group FZM behaved erratically, course-wise, just before reaching VBA, and then evaporated. Meanwhile, FHA was able to out-run 00M.

I then ordered FHA to re-attack VBA. Again, FHA launched 3x AIM-120s (GBM) at VBA, at which point, VBA changed course generally *towards* FHA and GBM. Because VBA no longer had
any long-range AAMs, I allowed FHA to continue its attack course, but dropped its speed to cruise (493 knots). Blue missiles GBM then flew *past* VBA, reversed course towards VBA, and disappeared
a moment later - without hitting VBA. At that point, the weapons allocation dialog popped up (for FHA to attack VBA), and fired FHA's last two AIM-120's (group GHM) at VBA (at about half of the max range of
those missiles). VBA momentarily changed its course away from FHA and GHM, but then changed back towards FHA. GHM reached VBA, but as with the previous blue missile groups, it evaporated with no
effect on VBA - which continued on towards FHA. VBA launched some of its AIM-9P missiles at FHA, and FHA was able to launch three of its AAM-5 missiles, but then both F-15s of FHA were shot down.

By this point, the one remaining F-16 of VBA was looking not so much like an "impervious F-16", but more like one of those "invincible AI air groups"! It had survived attacks by a total of 11 AIM-120A/B missiles,
fired from two different Blue air groups (each group 2x F-15J Plus) in a total of four missile volleys, plus three AAM-5 missiles fired in one volley, and meanwhile had shot down at least one of the
attacking F-15J Plus groups. Although this F-16 did not survive as many attacks, nor shoot down as many blue air groups, as the "invincible AI air groups" that I've seen in the past, the behavior is essentially
similar to those "invincible AI air groups".

Expected behavior: At least one of the 11 AIM-120s (having 80% kill rate), most of which were fired well within their nominal range, should have killed the single AI F-16 of group VBA. Instead, most of these
missiles appeared to "go erratic" upon approaching the VBA F-16, and none got a hit.
